The Laboratory of Drug and Cosmetics (LTMAC) at the University of Brasília is a research laboratory for the development of products and processes in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic fields.

Our mission is to provide personnel qualification, develop innovative products and provide services in the areas of research, production and quality control of medicines and cosmetics.

Our pharmaceutical research aims at developing solid and semi solid formulations for transdermal, skin, ocular, vaginal, pulmonary, oral and targeted follicular delivery of drugs and cosmetics active ingredients. New technologies include submicroscopic biocompatible systems, such as liposomes lipid and polymeric nanoparticles and energy driven processes as iontophoresis. A specificity of our activity is not only to develop formulations but also to design POC studies for their evaluation.
